YMCA Swim Lessons
The YMCA has been teaching people how to swim for over 150 years, and we strive to provide individuals the opportunity to enjoy the water in a safe and fun environment. Swimming is one of the most effective tools in developing the spirit, mind and body.
Our lessons are based on student- centered learning, with a focus on developing the entire person.
Many of our swim lessons fill quickly, so advanced registration is recommended. You can register at the YMCA, on the phone or online.
Please be sure to sign up for lessons before each session starts. Once
a session has begun it is still possible to register by speaking to the
Aquatic Director. Please review the Credits & Refund Policy before registering for aquatic programs.
All aquatic classes run on a monthly basis, and start on the first class day of each month. For example, SKIPPERS classes are held on Monday and Wednesday. Thus, classes begin on the first Monday or Wednesday of the month. All swim classes are prorated for the following holidays: New Years Day, Easter Sunday, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day. If your child has been placed on the waitlist for any aquatic program, an aquatic department representative will contact you if your desired class becomes available.
