Event Information

The Magdalena Ecke Family YMCA hosted the
21st Annual Paul Ecke, Jr. Poinsettia Ball on
Saturday, December 10, 2011 in the
Gary E. Biszantz Family Gymnasium.

Guests welcomed in the holiday season with a formal
evening of live entertainment from Wayne Foster Entertainment, gourmet dining prepared by Roppongi Catering and displays
of Poinsettia species grown at the world famous Paul Ecke Poinsettia Ranch. The evening included enthusiastic bidding
on silent auction items including vacation packages, one of
a kind items and unique experiences.



Beneficiaries

All proceeds from the event benefit our Financial Assistance Programs & the Magdalena Ecke Family YMCA.

The Magdalena Ecke Family YMCA has offered quality
programs and YMCA membership to all community members, regardless of ability to pay for over 40 years. Last year
over 2,200 children, seniors and families received financial assistance from the Magdalena Ecke Family YMCA!

In addition to offering scholarships and financial aid to individual families, the Magdalena Ecke Family YMCA has partnerships with the following agencies:

Casa de Amistad
a tutoring program for Hispanic youth

Casa de Amparo
a shelter for victims of child abuse

Encinitas Community Resource Center
a shelter for victims of domestic violence

Inclusion Program
a program to mainstream children with
mental & physical disabilities

Kinship Support Services Program
a support program for relative caregivers

Los Angelitos de Encinitas, Inc.
a local program facilitating childrens'
involvement in sports and after school program

Migrant Family Education Program
a program offering recreational opportunities
to the children of migrant workers


The participants of these agencies attend
YMCA programs and benefit from YMCA membership at
no cost to the agencies or to the participants.
