FAQ's How do I know what the volunteer opportunity will entail? Each volunteer opportunity will have a job announcement available to review. The job announcement will include the qualifications and major functions of the volunteer opportunity. If you have further questions about the volunteer opportunity, please contact the Human Resources department. How do I know if my availability will match with the needs of the department looking for a volunteer? If you have questions about the department needs, please complete an application. If you are called by the director or supervisor of the department, you may ask specific questions you have about the needs of the department. Once I have submitted an application, how do I know the application was received? All applications will be received by the Human Resources department. Once they are received they will be routed to the director or supervisor for that volunteer opportunity. The Human Resource department will be keeping record of the applications received and would be able to answer any questions regarding if your application was received and routed to the appropriate department. How long after submitting my volunteer application can I expect to hear from the YMCA? Depending on the department and the schedule of the director or supervisor, if you have not heard anything within two weeks of submitting an application, please contact the Human Resource Assistant listed under Contact Us with any questions about the status of your application. |
