Goals:

To provide an opportunity for volunteers to inform new members about the YMCA facilities, programs, and events.

The Ambassador program strives to create an environment that encourages relationship building and promotes interaction between YMCA members and staff.

Objectives:

To get members connected to the YMCA and provide them with knowledge of the YMCA’s work and impact on community involvement. This includes understand the mission and values of the “Y” organization and how it comes alive in the YMCA. Additionally, the YMCA Ambassador Program seeks to turn members into partners and advocates for the YMCA while providing an opportunity that encourages member participation in programs, facilities, and services.

How do I become an Ambassador?

How many hours do I have to volunteer?

Four hours per month, 10, 15?  There is not a set amount of time you must volunteer each month or week , to be an ambassador.

What benefits do I get for volunteering as an Ambassador?

There are three main benefits that you receive when you become an Ambassador. It is an opportunity to develop new relationships and friends. It is a way to share the YMCA experience with others and you will become apart of an elite clubs of volunteers.

Is there an age requirement for volunteering?

Ambassadors need to be 18 years or older to volunteer.
