The Magdalena Ecke Family YMCA believes interns are essential to an organization. Internships provide an opportunity for an organization to utilize the knowledge students are learning through school programs and allow students to gain experience while in school.

The experience can be invaluable, both in understanding if a particular field is is truly of interest, as well as gaining more experience to include on a resume. Internships can also provide a path to possibly moving up in an organization by becoming an employee upon finishing school.
